Payroll Donations
There is a simple way of donating to us which lets us reclaim tax, thus boosting the amount we receive without it costing you a penny more. Payroll Giving is a scheme which lets you make charitable donations straight from your gross pay, before tax is deducted.
We are then refunded the basic rate tax you would have paid on those earnings.
How to do it
Payroll Giving is extremely simple to use. Once your donation is set up, you don't have to do any more. Each month, as regular as clockwork, we will benefit. Providing that your employer offers Payroll Giving it could not be simpler.
All you have to do is fill out a donor form authorising your payroll department to take contributions from your salary. Payroll then pass these funds onto an Inland Revenue approved Payroll Giving agency which distributes the donation to us. So once you've filled out the initial form, that's it - the rest is done for you.
So give your Payroll department a ring today and start donating to Georgie's Fund!
Corporate Sponsorship
Does your company support a charity? If so they may change it annually. Why not suggest Georgie's Fund? Some companies also match funds raised by their employees for charity does yours?
Organise a 'Dress Down Day' at work and charge fellow employees a £1 for the privilege.
This Christmas at work instead of sending Christmas Cards to colleagues, send them a festive email and tell them you are donating the money you saved on cards to Georgie's Fund.
How about your Golf Club? The Men's Captain and Ladies Captain usually pick a charity a year to raise funds for, please suggest Georgie's Fund for the coming year.
Sponsored Event
Could you organise a sponsored event for us? A sponsored walk, run, bike ride?
Georgie's Fund has teamed up with justgiving.com so all our runners & events participants can raise money quickly and easily online with their own personalised webpages.
Friends and family will be able to donate online with a credit or debit card - so no more running around with paper sponsorship forms, or chasing cheques and cash after your event. 'Every Coin Counts' Foreign Currency Collection Campaign
It is estimated that there is currently £12 - £19 million of loose change which needs to be removed from circulation over the next few months. We only need to collect a small part of this to make an enormous difference to our cause.
Our campaign has been launched in response to the change over to the Euro, which in many European countries rendered the existing national currency redundant. Georgie's Fund
is able to collect old European coins and notes, and any other currencies from around the world, and convert them into sterling, generating funds for our cause.
Donations of coins and notes in any currency, including sterling, are all welcome.
Get everybody in your office, school, club or community group to hunt around at home and pool all the foreign notes and coins that can be found.
When you have four coffee mugs full of foreign coins and notes email Coin Co International (our foreign exchange specialists) at info@coinco.co.uk or ring them on 01444 253 777. Say you are collecting on behalf of 'Georgie's Fund Every Coin Counts' campaign and Coin Co will post you out a pre-paid jiffy bag in which to send back your currency.
If you fill 16 coffee mugs or more please request a 'Georgie's Fund Every Coin Counts' sack instead. This will be posted out to you and collected by courier.

If you know of any other successful fundraising schemes or ideas that have worked for you please email us and let us know, we would love to hear from you.
