Hello!
I'm Nina, Auntie to Jack and George, sister to Tania and Lynne's daughter. I have been married to Jamie for 8 years and working as an infant school teacher in Surrey for nearly 14 years.
I couldn't quite believe it when George was first diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. Statistics, procedures, medicines were discussed but all I wanted to hear was that he would be cured.
When George lost his battle against this cancer, starting a charity in his name seemed the obvious and right thing to do and, as his Auntie, I wanted to be involved as much as possible.
I have helped on Neuroblastoma Golf Days (by staying off the course!), ran the Flora Woman's Light (with Mum and Tania) and cycled to Shoreham with The Black Prince regulars
(what a generous bunch they are!).
I am continuously overwhelmed by the love, generosity and care shown by family, friends and strangers when it comes to George. Nothing seems too much trouble and everyone has so much time and
support to give. I know that they are all thinking about George and the battle he put up, he was always so determined.
Hopefully, with the memory of the bravest little boy I've ever known, and the endless support of others, a cure will be found, children will not have to suffer and families will not be heart broken anymore by this dreadful disease.
