On Saturday 8th July 2006 Malcolm Hussain and five friends completed the 42 mile
Lyke Wake Walk to raise funds for Georgie's Fund. The other walkers were:
Denise Harrison, John Tillotson, Andrew McGregor, Simon Brown, Alan Smith and Spice the dog. Dave Kemp-Ambler and his dog Brin were there to supply back up support for the walkers for the weekend for which they were very grateful. Without their support they
would not have been able to complete the walk.

They completed the walk in 17 hours making them eligible to wear the sought after coffin shaped badge. The walkers were also very grateful to Filtronic who supplied them with a minibus for the weekend which was invaluable.
They raised a fantastic £1,351.30!

The Lyke Wake Walk is the forty two mile crossing of the North York Moors from Scarth Wood Moor, Osmotherley to the Raven Hall Hotel on the coast at Ravenscar, which has to be completed within twenty-four hours for membership of the Lyke Wake Club.
Historically, the route links together the bronze age tumuli (burial mounds) on the high watershed of the moors.
