Gemma

Gemma with Mum and Dad

Little Gemma Sharpe lost her battle against neuroblastoma in June 2007. She was just 3 years old. Gemma had been diagnosed with neuroblastoma in the summer of 2006. She had just undergone surgery to remove her tumour early in June 2007 when she tragically had a bad reaction to chemotherapy and never recovered.

Gemma's family have been fundraising for Georgie's Fund, her Mum, Fiona has been selling wristbands and recently organised a fundraising day at Peasmarsh Village Hall, where on that day alone they raised more than £1,100! To add to that Gemma's Uncle Richie who is a magician and DJ by trade has been selling our bands and badges at his gigs. Even grandad Geoff has been involved in the fundraising efforts.

This amazing family, have raised nearly £2,500 so far for GF. We are so thankful to them, even at this very difficult time they are thinking about the other children that are battling this wicked disease and are hoping like us for better and more effective treatments and hopefully one day a cure.
