Fundraising Flora Marathon 2008 |
This year we are really lucky yet again to have another runner in the FLORA London Marathon despite us not having any official charity places! This year Chloe Inglis contacted us and said she would like to raise money for us by running in the marathon, when we asked her why she had chosen us this is what she said: "I have been training hard for the Marathon since September 2006, even with my son of 2 yrs, he comes training with me too, in a buggy. When I got my place through the ballot after 4 years of not being accepted, I was over the moon! I read about Georgie's Fund in my Local paper, being a Mum myself I started to cry and thought how easily this could also happen to children I loved too. I instantly thought this is a local charity and would like to support them in all the amazing work they do!" Chloe is from Woking and has been training hard at Woking Leisure Centre, it was an amazing challenge she undertook requiring a huge amount of discipline and determination! The marathon this year took place on 13th April, we will let you know how much money Chloe raised. Below is her official time.
