"...AN 11-year-old pupil is the mastermind behind a whole week of fundraising at Holy Family School.
Emily Fitzpatrick has organised a whole week of fundraising events at the Langley school to raise money for Georgie's Fund.
Emily first heard of Georgie's Fund after her grandmother told her of the death of family friend George Hayhoe, eight, of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma in January 2004.
From Monday, with the help of her mother Paula, Emily held a different event each day at her school. The events included a cake sale, cuddly toy sale, penalty shoot-out, mufti day and Spanish dancing classes.
She hoped to raise around £400 from all her efforts.
George's mum and chairman of Georgie's Fund, Tania Hayhoe, praised Emily's hard work.
She said: "We are extremely grateful to Emily and her family and to the school for supporting her in arranging the activities."
