Friday 15th February is a very special day across the world as it's marked as
'International Childhood Cancer Day'.
A day where everyone around the world raises money for the same cause? Children with cancer!
Naturally Georgie's Fund wanted to be part of this day and thought
WHAT CAN WE DO?
Whilst wearing a cap an idea was born? 'Caps for Kids'.
What we asked our fundraisers to do was pay a £1 and in turn you can wear a cap or any kind of head gear for the day whether
you are at home, school or work! In turn all the money raised went to Georgie's Fund who invests these funds into vital research for
a cure for this evil disease, Neuroblastoma.
Caps for Kids created a lot of excitement with our fund raisers, one in particular being Fullbrook School entered into the spirit beyond our
wildest dreams!
Firstly Fullbrook asked us to attend 2 assembly's so that we could give a talk on what Georgie's Fund is, what 'Caps for Kids' is and how they
could get involved. Year 7 and 8 sat very quietly listening to our presentation looking sad at the story but excited at the prospect of being
able to wear something different on Friday 15th, especially as it was the day they broke up for half term!
