The Black Cherry Fair is an event that has been held in Chertsey traditionally on the second Saturday in July for hundreds of years! The first Chertsey Fair being held at St. Anns Hill as far back as 1440. The fair is
attended by approximatley 15000 people from all over the country.

This year's theme was '20,000 Leagues Under The Sea'. Georgie's Fund was represented in the procession by the lovely Holehouse family. Kirsty aged 14, Zoe aged 11 Mum Carol and Dad Andrew built an amazing yellow submarine out of
chicken wire and papier mache. There was an awful lot of work involved with an amazing attention to detail. It was a real team effort on their part.
The girls were dressed as The Beatles and even had guitars made out of MDF. They looked fantastic in their black suits. The other two Beatles were Kirsty's friend Lucy and
Zoe's friend Becky.
I popped down to watch them earlier today and they were so excited as they had won a £50 prize in the Mayor's category which they have donated to Georgie's Fund! Their enthusiasm and excitement was infectious, and made me want to come straight back and put up a webpage all about them!
Andrew was driving the van and Carol was walking behind with a collection bucket and handing out leaflets for Georgie's Fund.
Below are some photo's of them all. Altogether they raised over £130 and gave out over 200 leaflets!.
