To mark George's birthday we organised a balloon race which, was attended by the children that went to school with George and his friends and family. The event was held at the Darley Dene Infants School where George used to go to school and where his Mum works. We were thrilled with the turnout as there were over 200 people gathered by the start of the race at 3.45pm. The local press also attended a copy of the article can be seen here. George's Mum and Dad counted us down from 10 and when they got to 1 everyone released their balloons with an almighty cheer! It was a spectacular sight and as it was a breezy day the balloons soon disappeared from sight. So far we have received back 3 balloon cards, the furthest one coming from over 51 miles away near Brighton! We will announce the final results soon.
