After Bike Road

the bike ride got under way around 10am, the riders were ready and eager after weeks of buildup and Monday night training sessions. The weather could have been better though! It rained a fair bit of the time but it didn't deter our intrepid riders who completed the ride in good time with a few stops along the way in local hostelries (purely for fundraising reasons of course!) There were a couple of punctures along the way but as our riders were well prepared this didn't cause them any problems. They all arrived back in one piece (although a bit sore in places!) ready to let their hair down in the evening at the 'after bike ride party'.

It was a fanatastic evening as I think the photos will show!

A special thanks to Mandy and Mark Thompson for organising this event, for arranging the transport with Tesco's, arranging raffle prizes and for getting people to take part in the bike ride. Thanks to Martin Wright for planning the route. Also special thanks to Keith for agreeing to fundraise for us, and arranging the fabulous party, supplying the food, t-shirts and entertainment and for his fantastic compere skills in the evening.

Thanks to all the staff and regulars that sold tickets and worked so hard to make this such an enjoyable and successful day.
