Georgie's Fund Fighting Neuroblastoma

Georgie's Fund has been set up in memory of a dear little boy George Hayhoe who lost his battle against Neuroblastoma on 21st January 2004 aged just 8 years old. Georgie's Story has been written by his Mum, it is a moving account of Georgie's short life. After reading it you will understand why we have started Georgie's Fund and why we are determined to succeed! We want to raise as much money as we can in Georgie's name to research into a cure and new treatments for Neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that is diagnosed in around 100 children in the UK each year. Once diagnosed the survival rate is just one in five. There is NO government funded research into this disease. For more information have a look at our LEAFLET. To view the leaflet you will need to have installed Adobe Reader.

Jubilee High Talent Show

In December Jubilee High School held a Talent contest for pupils at their school. The pupils stage managed the production themselves and organised all parts of the show from it's inception as part of a GCSE project. The money that they raised was donated to Georgie's Fund, we have just received a cheque from them which was for a fantastic £763.46! For more info view here. It was a really fanatstic show, including, singers bands, comedians, gymnasts, musicians and dancers and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. A big well done and thank-you to them all.

NSOC Charity Golf Day 2008

Our traditional NSOC Golf Day is very special this year as it's the NSOC's Silver Jubilee year. To mark the event the golf day will be held at the exclusive New Zealand Golf Club. This club is only available to play usually by invitation, so we are thrilled to be able to host this special Silver Jubilee event at this prestigious course. The date is Tuesday 5th August 2008, put it in your diary, places always go quickly so download your booking form now and book early to avoid disappointment.

We have a second golf day this year on Wednesday 18th June which is in conjunction with READY 'Recreation and Easy Access for Disabled Youth' they have invited us to take part in their annual golf day and the proceeds will be shared between the two charities. The venue for this is the former Stocks Golf & Country Club which is now privatley owned and only open for a couple of days a year for charity. For more information and a booking form click here.
